From Bradley & Chelsea:
Our brave superhero, Adeline Sauln, has been diagnosed with a Stage 3 Wilms Tumor. She recently underwent surgery to remove one of her kidneys and partially reconstruct her bladder, and will begin 6 months of chemotherapy treatment, as well as radiation through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Boston Children’s Hospital. On top of chemotherapy, Addie will also be undergoing radiation which at 2 years old puts her option to have a family at risk. She is now scheduled for a second surgery to remove one of her ovaries to be put into long term cryogenic storage to ensure she has a chance at building a family is she chooses. This also means more hospital stays, as well as third party facility costs to store Addie's ovary/eggs for 25+ which will be out of pocket. Addie is brave and resilient as is her sister and we want nothing more than the world of possibilities for their futures.
All proceeds from “Team Addie” apparel will go toward helping us manage the challenges of her treatment: travel, time away from work, and care needs. Any remaining funds will be donated to childhood cancer research, in hopes of making the road easier for other families in the future.
